In this workshop we will look at the main elements to be taken into account when creating intralingual or interlingual subtitles for d/Deaf and hard of hearing audiences. We will look at some of the main features of SDH in general and see how, in practice, we can enhance readability, understanding, coherence and enjoyment. Participants will be invited to carry out various practical activities and will be given the opportunity to think about possible solutions for providing SDH in their own environment. Even though the workshop will be carried out in English, the exchange of experiences and examples/solutions in different linguistic and cultural contexts will be encouraged.
