Wilf White is Head of External Policy for the BBC and Policy Director of Digital Switchover Help Scheme Limited, a wholly owned BBC subsidiary which exists to deliver subsidised digital TV equipment to elderly and disabled people. His job is to develop the policies of the BBC towards the Corporation’s regulation and funding and to act as an interface between the BBC and Government and other stakeholders. He is therefore responsible for the development of the BBC’s policies towards access services (the provision of subtitling, signing and audio description).
Wilf joined the BBC in 1998 after 12 years working for the British Government in HM Treasury. He has a degree in Law from the University of Cambridge.
