Thijs de Korthe

Thijs de Korte has a long track record in translation and subtitling work. Since 2001 he has been involved in live interlingual subtitling. This year he worked on the development of live teletext services for the Dutch commercial broadcaster SBS6. His participation in the 2006 Languages & The Media Conference resulted in a paper that was published in inTRAlinea: De Korte, T. (2006) "Live inter-lingual subtitling in the Netherlands: Historical background and current practice". Thijs is currently team manager of the Technicolor Netherlands translation department.
