Jenny Mattsson

I am a PhD student of English linguistics, as well as a part time teacher, at Gothenburg University in Sweden. My main academic interests are translation studies and pragmatics, and I have combined these two parts of linguistics for my thesis on the subtitling of discourse particles. I have presented my work in progress e.g. at the Multidimensional Translation conference (MuTra, Copenhagen, 2006 and MuTra, Vienna 2007), the Languages and the Media conference (Berlin, 2006) and the Media for All conference (Leiria, 2007).
